I-171H Delivered - Finally!
When I Fed-Exed our I-171H to the Vietnam Consulate in San Francisco this past Monday, April 30th, I had sent it overnight. Yesterday, Tuesday, May 1st, when I checked the delivery status, I saw that it stated "Delivery Exception"!!!! What did that mean? After a few hysterical moments, I called Fed-Ex. I was told that they had attempted to deliver the envelope as scheduled, but that the Consulate was closed for May Day. They assured me that it would be delivered when they re-opened today. I was so relieved when I looked and saw that it had, in fact, been delivered. So, now our last document in the Great Paperchase is in the hands of the Consulate General of Vietnam. The next time I send anything, I am going to make sure that there are no national holidays coming up!
