I just checked on our I-171H. It left San Francisco last night and is expected for delivery tomorrow, 5/9. I'm not sure how long before we will be able to send it to our agency. One thought is to wait until we drive to Florida in the beginning of June and hand deliver it to our agency. That will keep me from being a basketcase until it is delivered. BUT, do I want to wait that long? CAN I wait that long? Really, it's only a couple of weeks......and Jon has not gotten the workbook finished (we each have to submit a finished parent's adoption workbook). Mine was done months ago!
Another reason for waiting is that there is someone that we are trying to co-ordinate with so we can travel together to pick up our children. But I am not at liberty to say who....just yet. They were just accepted by our agency and are asking for an older child, so it is possible that we could travel together.
I joined a 100 wishes quilt square exchange and we are about to begin a swap with a Vietnam culture theme. I can't wait. I have gotten squares/wishes from a couple swaps but they were more China themed. I researched and found info on Our Lady of LaVang. She appeared to the people of LaVang that were being persecuted for their Catholic beliefs. She asked them to gather some ferns to treat their ailments and to pray. She said that she would hear their prayers. Those prayers were granted. She appeared to them many times. There is now a national shrine in LaVang to Our Lady of LaVang. I hope that we are able to visit it when we travel to Vietnam. The fabric that I chose to go with this theme is a beautiful asian print with ferns, butterflies and flower blossoms.
