I knew that this day would be coming soon, but it still caught me off guard when I looked to see what Jake was up to and found him on the dining room table. He was looking so proud of himself that I had to smile....just before I helped him down and gave him a time out!
"I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!"
"That was easy!"
"Why are you looking at me like that, Mommy?"

Here Jake is helping Grandma crochet. He is always very interested in anything having to do with balls of yarn! But when you add a crochet hook...! He was not about to miss the opportunity to learn to crochet.
"I can untangle this, really!"
"You did want me to hold these for you, right?"
"I got it! Chain one, Double-Crochet the next!"
"So this is called Crocheting? Huh, piece of cake!"
