Yesterday was our local FCC group's celebration of the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival. Every year, we look forward to this event. Natalie has so much fun re-connecting with her birth culture and other girls from China. They play so nicely together, it warms the heart to see all these girls (and now a lot of little boys!) together in one happy, loving place.
There are Chinese games and crafts for the children to do, as well as excellent food to eat. This year Natalie wanted to try dumplings and Mooncake. She even tried to use chopsticks. We'll have to work on those!
Jake ran all over the place, having his usual fun time. Mommy got to chat with all the other mommies, comparing war stories and progress reports. The daddy's chatted and supervised the kids. As expected, all the families feel so very Blessed and wish they could bring more children home. We rejoiced over the new families and gave words of support and encouragement to the waiting families. A fun time was had by all.
Here are a few pictures of the fun day..........
